RBC Insurance provides Critical Illness coverage that pays a lump-sum benefit payment that you can use to help reduce your financial burden and maintain your independence in case of a serious illness. RBC Insurance offers two plans to help meet your critical illness insurance needs:

Critical Illness Recovery Plan

  • Provides a one-time lump sum benefit to those who are diagnosed with and survive a covered condition.
  • Covers 30 critical illnesses.
  • Different plan options available:
    • 10-year term, renewable to age 75 and convertible to age 65 – for ages 18 to 64.
    • Level premiums to age 65 (guaranteed renewable) – for ages 18 to 60.
    • Level premiums to age 75 (guaranteed renewable) – for ages 18 to 65.
    • Level premiums to age 75 (Non-cancellable) – for ages 18 to 65.
  • Each option includes assistant services which help with common needs of critical illness survivors.

Simplified Critical Illness

  • Provides a one-time lump sum benefit to those who are diagnosed with and survive a covered condition.
  • Covers three of the most common critical illness – cancer, heart attack and stroke.
  • Coverage amounts: $10,000, $25,000, $50,000 or $75,000.
  • Early assistance and assistance services available as additional benefits.
